Marwadi cuisine is traditionally vegetarian stamping their strong belief in non-violence. The origin of Marwadi cuisine - Rajasthan where rainfall is scarce and cultivation of rice and wheat are hard to see therefore their cooking lentils are found in plenty and are alternative in place of cereals.
